2004 Induction

At a cermony held on November 5, 2004 the executive and members of Timberline Local No. 9 formally inducted the new members of the local. This year's inductees were given the special honour of being inducted by Alberta Teachers' Association President Frank Bruseker, who was also the guest speaker for the evenings festivities, held at the MAX centre in Drayton Valley.

The Alberta Teachers' Association deems it desirable that all persons entering the teaching profession for the first time be called upon to participate in a ceremony of recognition and acknowledgement of their professional responsibility to pupils, parents, colleagues and country.

There are 16 new teachers in Wild Rose School Division, 13 were inducted at the November 5th ceremony. All inductees recieved a framed induction certificate and a membership in a specialist council of their choice. Alex Waldron, one of the four retirees from last year was also present and gave a few words of advice to the rookie teachers.
